I attended my friend’s daughter wedding a while ago. A simple ceremony blessed by close friends.

At the end of the ceremony, there was a surprised for guests. Every guest was give a small box as they walked out of the church. Just when everyone was wondering what’s in the box, one of the groom’s men asked everyone to open the box together on his count. And voilà! Butterflies! Hundreds of them flying all over us. What a sight!

It was a touching moment. As butterflies flew away, it also symbolizes that my friend’s daughter has grown up to be a woman and she is ready to start a new life of her own. One day, her children will grow up and fly away as well, and life continues, relentlessly, as the circle of life continues.

The picture was taken when one of the butterfly rests peacefully on a flower girl’s hand. It was just simply beautiful.
